About Drew LaBorde
I am a longtime residence of Sulphur. I began painting following Hurricane Rita. I have found solice and relaxation through my art. I enjoy painting on an outdoor easel that I installed in my backyard. I fabricate all my own cribbing, canvas and framing. I work in the engineering business where everything is exacting and precise. Therefore I allow my art to be more free and abstract. I create most of my works with the use of a pallet knife and blade. I very seldom use a brush. My goal is to retire from engineering one day and become a fulltime artist.
