    About Chris Shearman
My Dad raised me listening to records-Beatles, Van Morrison, Jethro Tull-and it was all over. Music touched my soul at a very young age. My cousin Toby Loftin gave me my first guitar, my Uncle Casey showed me a few things, and immediately I started writing songs. It was and still is the most natural thing in my life. My best friend Colin Allured and I started writing songs before we even knew chords. We'd perform for anybody who would watch-our parents, babysitters, people in the mall. Songwriting comes in phases. I'll write two songs in one day and then I won't write another one for 2 months. There are lots of them and each one resembles a certain scene or person or maybe even just the mood for that moment. It is not so much me creating the song as it is discovering it on the astral plane of vibration. It comes together as if it were already there. I try to stay out of the way and let the songs write themselves. I now get to share music with keys master Robert Anderson, guitarist/noise maker Dan Hornstein- two long-time and loyal friends. I've had the blessing of donating my time and talent to the following beautiful organizations: Volunteers of America, Best Buddies, Ethel Precht (via Livin the Music) Save the Wetlands, BRAADC, Lake Charles YMCA, St. Nicholas Center, St. John. Each song is a gift and I am grateful to have God use me as an instrument to play music.
