About Monica Hebert
Monica Hebert is a painter who explores the world around her through a variety of mediums. Sometimes she can be more of a sculpture than painter as she reaches for the pallet knife over brushes, creating a unique reflection of how she feels about life. Boldness and movement are cornerstones of her paintings and her rebel spirit is the foundation for a refreshing perspective. I have found her muling over a painting for 2 years or finishing one in less than 2 hours. The colors she seeks allows the viewer to be transported into her world and see the joy and love she puts into each and every nurtured painting.
Completely self taught, Monica is influenced by many painters of the post impressionism era, but her 15 years living in New York City and working in the music industry has been the most polarizing event in her young life. I hope Monica never puts down the brush or pallet knife and continues her budding brilliant career as an artist here in SW Louisiana.
