Arts & Crabs Fest brings regional cuisine, culture, and art to the forefront each August. Festival-goers take part in an extensive crab and beer tasting which features area chefs and restaurants each offering a crab dish representative of their cuisine’s styles and personalities. Past dishes have included crab ceviche, mini crab crepes, corn & crab panna cotta, and crab penne pasta. Dishes are then paired with Louisiana craft brews as complementary offerings.

Local art displays, interactive cultural activities, and live music from Sinners and Thomas & Theresa will also accompany the festivities. Once again awarded the coveted designation as a “Top 20 Event in the Southeast” by the Southeast Tourism Society, Arts & Crabs Fest has become a signature event for Southwest Louisiana and is consistently a sell-out.

Funds raised at Arts & Crabs Fest are reinvested back into SWLA’s art communities through the Arts Council’s services and programs. Event sponsorship packages are available for SWLA businesses. For more information on Arts & Crabs Fest, call the Arts Council at (337) 439-2787.

Tickets go on sale July 1st. Early bird tickets are $25 and they’re limited, so buy early! Make sure to print out your voucher and present it at the gate. Serving for the general public is from 5pm to 7pm. Ticket holders must be 21 years of age or older.
