The Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA, in partnership with the City of Lake Charles and the Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau, present the second tribute concert of the Roots Revival series, titled “Evolution”.

Join us for this celebration of Southwest Louisiana’s musical history on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 7-9pm at Benjamin W. Mount Theatre in Central School Arts and Humanities Center

Like a cypress tree, the music of Southwest Louisiana is strong and has weathered many storms, but stays true to its roots.

Lake Area country, soul, rock ‘n’ roll band sinners have influences deeply rooted in Cajun and swamp pop, making them the natural choice as house band.

Special guest musicians to take the stage include members of the Grammy-nominated progressive Cajun band Lost Bayou Ramblers and zydeco torchbearer Sean Ardoin.

Song selection by Charles Lyons
Script by Jody Taylor, with editing by Carolyn Woosley
Told by Joy Pace of Itinerant Theatre, Inc..

Celebrate our Southwest Louisiana musical heritage with us!

Tickets are only $15, and available at

Funds raised during the Roots Revival series are reinvested back into the SWLA community through the Arts Council’s services and events. For details, visit or call 337-439-2787.
